Give Kids A Smile
The Daily Planet’s first Give Kids A Smile Day (GKAS) was a whopping success! We experienced an exciting day filled with dental activities in the waiting room: volunteer student hygienists and the medical staff vision and blood pressure checks from the medical staff dental cleanings, exams, and treatment plans in the dental clinic Forty-three children ages 3-13 years old were seen at our first GKAS Day. Local groups that attended were William Byrd, Darrell Green’s Youth Life Foundation of Richmond, and Williamsburg’s Headstart Program. My hat goes off to all of you for your hard work and effort and we look forward to many years of continuing this national day of dental care for indigent children.
